Description
In the book the proceedings of the Bremen Workshop on Light
Scattering are printed. The meeting was held at Institut für
Werkstofftechnik, Bremen on March 2 + 3, 2015. The book is a
compilation of papers presented at the workshop. The papers demonstrate
the wide interdisciplinary nature of the interest in light scattering
by particles and particle aggregates. The problems investigated illustrate
the present-day research topics in various fields, covering
aspects like soot aggregates, mineral dust, near-field enhancement, plasmonic
structures and erythrocytes. Different theoretical approaches are
considered to simulate light scattering such as Rayleigh-Debye
-Gans Theory, Discrete Sources Method, Discrete Dipole Approximation,
and Volume Integral Equation Method.
