The Good Taste Guide Through Normandy

Normandy is the home to Calvados, Camembert, Cider, Benedictine, Poir, Pommeau, Normandy Butter and Creme Fraiche. This book reveals the Normandy that her people enjoy through its produce. It includes information on "where to find what", "what to eat where" and "where the locals would buy the best of what you want to take home". To give the traveller an overview, the four Departments of Normandy are presented in terms of their respective claims to product fame. Then, four tours are proposed: the cider route; the cheese route; the Neufchatel route; and the gourmet route. The core text presents 110 locations of tourist interest with information under the headings: "what to see"; "what to look out for"; "where to buy it"; "where to eat"; and "where to stay". Shops, farms, vineyards, restaurants, hotels and all the usual touring information with addresses and telephone numbers are included to help make the most of a visit.
