This new ? fth edition of the TNM Atlas re? ects the changes in the TNM System int- duced by the recently published 6th edition of the TNM Classi? cation of Malignant Tumours [1]. The most important additions and modi? cations are: ? A revised classi? cation of head and neck tumours re? ecting the introduction of T4a/pT4a and T4b/pT4b categories, which allow a rami? cation in locally operable and non operable tumours ? A new classi? cation of tumours of the nasal cavity ? Changes in the classi? cation of thyroid tumours ? New subcategories in the classi? cation of gastric tumours ? Changes in the classi? cations of tumours of the liver, gallbladder, extrahepatic bile ducts, liver ? A new classi? cation of malignant mesothelioma of pleura ? Changes in the classi? cation of bone tumours ? Substantial changes in the classi? cation of malignant melanoma of the skin ? Changes in the classi? cation of regional lymph nodes of the breast ?
