Description
Why shouldn't delivering a dying young man across post-apocalyptic America be fun?
Twenty years after the apocalypse, Merry suspects her 12-year-old son DJ has cancer, the disease that claimed the lives of her husband, Sal, and her mother. Merry enlists the help of Sal's best friend, Robin, to take them from their luxury off-grid compound in Whitefish, Montana to a medical ship rumoured to be in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Robin has access to an armoured electric vehicle to help them make the journey, but he's fresh off an epic bender. While DJ is thrilled to experience life on the road, grief-addled Merry must contend with the locals, drunk Robin and endless questions from an orphan they pick up en route.
As they make their way through the ruins, Merry and her motley crew encounter eccentric communities growing through the cracks of the wrecked world - and ready for a good time.
Blue Merry is the third book in the Scavenged Earth series following a group of survivors as they seek peace, fellowship and fun in uncivilized America.
