An Engineering Archive

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers celebrates its 150th anniversary in 1997. To mark the occasion this volume contains a selection of 24 papers from the first 100 years of the Institution, which exemplify both landmark accounts of engineering technology and contributions from famous authors. The papers are reproduced in facsimile, to show their original form, with some being enlarged and others slightly reduced. The book also contains original black and white illustrations, which were often produced in the Institution's own drawing office.
