Numicon Firm Foundations Starter Apparatus Pack

Numicon is a multi-sensory maths programme that encourages children to see and do maths using structured imagery and apparatus. This kit is designed to be used with 4 to 5 year olds (Reception / Primary 1). It includes essential manipulatives to support the Firm Foundations teaching programme for one class of around 30 children. Through active investigation with problem-solving at its heart, Firm Foundations Revised Edition supports children and teachers to reason and communicate mathematically with confidence.

This pack contains: 3 boxes of 80 Numicon Shapes, 3 packs of 80 Numicon Coloured Pegs, 6 Numicon Baseboards, 6 Number Bond Baseboard Overlays, 6 Picture Baseboard Overlays, 3 packs of 2 Numicon Spinners sets with overlays, a Large Format Table-top Number Line, 3 Numicon Feely Bags, a large set of Number Rods, a set of Numicon Number Rod Trays (1-10 and 20), 20 extra Numicon 1-shapes, 3 magnetic strips and 3 sets of 0-100 cm scale Number Lines.

Numicon is research-based and proven to have a significant and lasting impact on results. Flexible and comprehensive, Numicon resources are available in a range of digital, physical and print based materials. It can be used alongside existing schemes, or as a complete maths programme.

Extra apparatus is available separately. Not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts.
