The essays in this volume are all written by former students of Dr. Bullard, and the diverse range of topics highlights his broad interests in geology, archaeology, and biblical studies. Bullard was a long time Professor of Geology and Archaeology at Cincinnati Christian University. He pioneered the field of Archaeological Geology in the 1960s at Tell Gezer.

He is the author of Ancient Abila: An Archaeological History (2001) and editor of The Light of Discovery: Studies in Honor of Edwin M. Yamauchi (2007). Mark Ziese is Professor of Old Testament at Cincinnati Christian University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is the author of the College Press NIV Commentary on Joshua (2008). James Riley Estep Jr. is Professor of Christian Education at Lincoln Christian Seminary in Lincoln, Illinois.
