Description
This is a collection of 120 poems by an eclectic range of poets. It includes poems by the eminent writer Bernard Kops (who has contributed two new, previously unpublished pieces), award winners including Chrys Salt MBE, Wendy Klein and Bethany Pope, performance poets like Steve Pottinger, Ash Dickinson and Robert Garnham, and young emerging poets. There's something for every taste here, the criterion for the editor's choice being the poems' accessibility and their value as oral, as well as written poetry. Janice Windle and Dónall Dempsey co-founded the loose collective "The 1000 Monkeys", referring to the saying that an infinite number of monkeys with keyboards, given an infinite span of time, will produce every work of literature ever written. The 1000 Monkeys have set themselves the task of publishing the best they hear.
