Description
Theres not a lot of space in the humongous Humdingle family home, but they wouldnt have it any other way in this charming story about minimalism, multi-generational living, and the importance of appreciating what we have. Welcome to the Humdingle family! Theres Grandma and Grandad, Mum and Dad, the children and the pets and they all live in one tiny house. Its a little squashy and noisy in the house, and sometimes the Humdingles wish they didnt have to share quite so much. After all, one toilet between three generations can get tricky!
Find out what happens when, one magical day, the Humdingles wishes are granted. Will all the space they could dream of make them happier? Or was there, perhaps, something special about living in the tiny, squashy house after all?
This lively, light-hearted book will delight little readers with its playful language and illustrations. Carrying a heartfelt message about the importance of family connections, it is the perfect story for parents and grandparents to share with younger family members. It also opens the door to conversations about materialism, and is a joyful reminder to see the good in what we have.

Reviews / Votes
"The illustrations ... complement thesparse but engaging story. Full of warmth and whimsy, the book will appeal to
children aged three and older." - Books + Publishing "This heart-warming story illustrates
the difference between a house and a home. [A] touch of humour at the end
completed a charming story, that should be read aloud, for 3 to 90 year olds." - Storylinks "[A] story that emphases sharing and
empathy, love for one another and so much more." - Schooldays Magazine "A wonderful, full-of-warmth book, about
families, parents, and grandparents and the importance of communication between
them. It points to the value of being a close knit unit, and appreciating all
that you have." - Kids' Book Review "Engaging and entertaining, The
Humongous Humdingle Family and the Tiny House is the perfect book for
parents to read to children at bedtime. In doing so, they will embrace the
essence of the story: sharing is caring." - Buzzwords Magazine "Author Michelle Wilson and illustrator
PJ Reece have told this story with a really big title, in such a way that it is
fun but thought provoking as well. The text is well broken up, and the
illustrations are detailed enough to generate interest. A charming story." - Blue Wolf Reviews
