Description
At 5 Daughters Ranch, a very special calf is born, and he's impossible to miss.
With his jet-black coat and the cutest little underbite, this curious calf quickly captures everyone's attention. From the moment he arrives, he begins exploring his world, nibbling on hay, buckets, and just about anything he can find. It doesn't take long before he earns the perfect name, Nibbles.
Follow Nibbles as he grows, explores, and becomes a favorite on the ranch, especially to a little girl named Bryer, who sees him not as a big farm animal, but as a friend just her size. When Bryer sets off on her own small adventure to visit the cows, what unfolds is a gentle and heartwarming reminder of curiosity, courage, and the watchful care of family.
Set against the peaceful backdrop of a real working ranch in Texas, this beautifully illustrated story introduces young readers to the rhythms of ranch life, the wonder of animals, and the simple joys of growing up surrounded by nature.
Perfect for children ages 3 to 7, this story is ideal for read-aloud time and for young animal lovers who dream of life on the ranch.
Based on true experiences, every moment and every animal in this story comes from real life at 5 Daughters Ranch, where children learn, explore, and discover confidence through caring for animals.

Donna Williams is a devoted wife, mother of five daughters, and a proud Nana to thirteen grandchildren, with one more on the way. She and her family call Henderson County, Texas, home, where they have built both a life and a legacy rooted in faith, family, and community. Alongside her husband, Donna founded 5 Daughters Ranch, a youth agricultural education program designed to teach children ages six through eighteen the value of hard work, responsibility, and connection to the land. Through this program, she has helped countless young people gain hands-on experience while building confidence and life skills that extend far beyond the ranch. Donna's passion for children and learning naturally extends into her writing. Her stories are inspired by real life, family experiences, and the lessons she has shared with the many children she has mentored over the years. She believes in creating meaningful, engaging content that not only entertains but also encourages growth, curiosity, and strong values. When she is not writing or working on the ranch, Donna enjoys spending time with her growing family, especially her grandchildren, who continue to inspire her creativity and purpose. Her work reflects a deep commitment to nurturing the next generation, both through education and storytelling, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of children and families alike.
