Brenton Williams was born in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1947 to non-Christian parents. He had no Christian faith or beliefs growing up. In 1970 he met Coral, and they married after he converted to her Salvation Army faith. They trained and became Army officers, and served around the country. Searching for truth and after questioning tenets of Army teaching, in 1984 he left The Salvation Army to start a small charismatic group where he still ministers. The truths in his books are based on experiences and his longing to discover a real and true faith. An intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ is central to his faith. Brenton aspires to help other believers know Jesus as a friend and lover, so preparing them for an eternity of wedded bliss with their bridegroom.
