Working Effectively in Child Care Protection

This book explores the critical skills needed by social care staff who work in child protection in the post-Climbie era. It is practical in format and unique in that chapters 2-6 combine a range of integrated theories at foundation level to assist workers to survive in the complex and emotionally demanding work they are likely to face. The book contains exercises for each chapter, and diagrams and charts will be used extensively. It is fundamentally a multi-agency publication and will be of use to trainers, academics, supervisors and frontline staff.
