Description
The commissioning of an electrical machine drive system and its sophisticated control architecture requires ideally a deep understanding about the complete drive system, including the voltage errors which are caused by parasitic effects of the power electronics, nonlinear magnetic characteristics of the machine and mechanical drive properties. However, modern controllers are often tuned inaccurate in practice due to a lack of time or knowledge, which leads to insufficient machine dynamics and to an energy inefficient operation. This work presents therefore several novel and practical concepts to facilitate a fast, safe and accurate self-commissioning of unknown synchronous machines.
