Ruth Wickings is a paper engineer and book designer who lives and works in the South West of England. She has been making pop-ups for twenty years and was inspired by Jan Pienkowski's Haunted House. Frances Castle started out as an illustrator in the games industry, working for Disney and EA Games. She became a freelance illustrator in 2005 and has since worked for the BBC, the Guardian newspaper and a number of children's publishers. Frances is inspired by comic book art and vintage children's books of the '50s and '60s.
