Description
When former chess champion Josef starts a chess club for his son's class, he expects a quiet after-school activity. Instead, a fierce rival club appears - and a battle begins.
As the competition escalates, Josef and his young players face mind games, crushing defeats and tough lessons about loyalty, courage and what it really means to win.
Set in the high-stakes world of junior chess, this gripping story follows Park School's dramatic journey to the finals of a national championship in front of thousands of spectators in Stockholm.
Written by a Stockholm chess champion, the novel combines authentic tournament tension with heart and humour.
