Simplify Your Spiritual Life
Description
Good news for the spiritually overwhelmed.
Donald S. Whitney has helped hundreds of thousands of Christians discover the life with God available to us through the spiritual disciplines. But we are finite people, and the joy of the Christian life can too often and too easily slip to the side of our daily lives. How do we retain our spiritual enthusiasm and creativity for the ways God is shaping us?
Simplify Your Spiritual Life is a natural companion and follow up to Whitney's landmark book Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life. Here he guides you through a garden of 90 ways to simplify your practice of the Christian disciplines, encouraging you to pick those that will help you grow closer to Christ and more like him. He includes wisdom on:
- Why simplicity will help us experience more fruitfulness in our walk with Jesus
- How to remember Scripture better through meditation and journaling
- Building routines for minimizing digital distraction and experiencing rest for your soul
Equal parts sourcebook and devotional resource, Simplify Your Spiritual Life sets you on a daily discipleship journey with God, drawing you ever onward toward spiritual maturity and abiding joy. Included is a discussion guide for small group use or personal study.
