Description
Finding Freedom in Jesus from the Burdens That Hinder Our Joy
Anxiety, depression, and loneliness are pervasive in culture today, but these emotions aren't unique to the modern age. Humanity lost happiness long ago in the Garden of Eden, and we've been trying, and failing, to regain it ever since. Is there hope amid the emotional chaos? Through Jesus Christ, happiness seeks us out once again and reminds us that in him, our battles can be won.
Written for Christian women of all ages, this book outlines the path to true happiness through the gospel. With help from Scripture and the voices of Christian literary greats, Nicole Whitacre helps readers confront anger, anxiety, envy, and despair-negative emotions that prevent us from living for Christ and experiencing genuine joy. A source of comfort and a gospel call, this book reminds readers that we have everything we need in the Lord.
Helps Women Find True Joy: Encourages readers to trust Christ and his grace to confront negative emotions that hinder our happiness
Great for Group Study: Reflection questions are interspersed to help elicit personal reflection and facilitate thoughtful conversations
Accessible: Chapters are divided into short sections to help busy moms and students read, meditate on, and apply content at their own pace
Wisdom Rooted in History: Uses verses from the Bible and quotes Christianity's historical greats to impart wisdom to the reader
Standalone Companion: A sequel to True Feelings and a companion project to True Life, this book also works great as a standalone volume
