Basic Solid State Chemistry

An abridged version of the author's "Solid State Chemistry and Applications", this textbook has been restructured to give solid state teaching courses a coherent and logical progression of subject material and to provide students with a readable introduction to this growth area. The chapters have been reduced to concentrate on the basics of solid state theory. Applications are mentioned, but each has been given as an example, rather than explained in its own right.
