Part II of this two-part series discusses the techniques available for the study of fast reactions. Eleven chapters deal with the various approaches to the study of fast reactions, such as rapid flow techniques, small perturbation or relaxation techniques (temperature-jump, pressure-jump, electric field methods and ultrasonic techniques), large perturbation techniques (flash and laser photolysis, pulse radiolysis), electrochemical techniques and line shape techniques (nuclear resonance and electron paramagnetic resonance). In this revised edition, Professor Bernasconi has introduced new topics, removed outdated ones, and given additional space to areas that have seen major developments since the publication of the third edition.
