1787 Faith

Anyone can see that the Christian faith in government, where it led the government's establishment in 1776, has drifted from its biblical foundations today significantly. Author Phil Webster has noticed this as well, especially when he began researching the lives and faith of the Founding Fathers for the American government for his new book, 1787 FAITH: The Christian Worldview of the Signers of the Constitution. As he details the timeline for the creation of noted governmental documents, such as the Articles of Confederation and the United States Constitution, Phil expounds on how faith in God ruled the decisions made by the Constitution signers and a few of the first presidents: George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. Their words, actions and mindsets toward faith in Christ are recognized throughout the book, in hopes that readers will see the importance of having a place for God in government again.
