The Category Eight Selection

Roy's Category Eight section is personal rather than counter-intelligence. It is the documented history of how each of the three investigators came to be the specific person who could use what Roy built - documented across twenty-two years of professional observation before Roy knew any of them. The book follows the three investigators reading Category Eight separately, then together, understanding for the first time the full shape of what the investigation has been and what it has made of them. It is also the book in which the personal constellation - the specific honest complexity of Damon, Selena, and Adrienne's chosen configuration - has enough unstructured time to simply exist without investigation as the organizing principle. The three people who have been in motion for three years are briefly, deliberately still.
