Civil War, Insecurity and Intervention

An examination of four recent military interventions by the international community: Bosnia and Herzegovina; Somalia; Cambodia; and Rwanda. The mixed record of partial successes, failures, and counterproductive interventions suggests a need to develop a framework for future policy choices.
