Numerous agencies can use this book in training programs, as well as, the promotional exam process. The book includes basic information that will help a new officer or continue to build a seasoned officer's understanding of the law. The authors of this book have provided information about various court cases and explain the constitutional issues that Officers will face on a daily basis. In today's world, this book provides information on what police need to know regarding their powers, liabilities and limitations. Overall, officers are provided a legal guide that is easily followed in this well written book.

Walker and Hemmens have done a masterful job in providing a legal text that is comprehensive with current important legal cases which is easy to read.
