Der Künstler will nicht einfach Reiseeindrücke dokumentieren, die die bunte Oberfläche Indiens zeigen. Wenn wir uns wirklich auf die Bilder einlassen und ihre Energie in uns aufnehmen, erleben wir ein Gefühl friedvoller Harmonie, das charakteristisch für Indien ist und sich in diesem Bildband so eindrücklich widerspiegelt. André Wagners Bilder sind philosophische Reflexionen über das Wesen von Raum und Zeit, Mensch und Natur, Vergänglichkeit und Ewigkeit.
It is probably the marvellous colours that we admire first in André Wagner's photos. Only subsequently do we realise that this is not the primary objective of the work. The artist doesn't want to make a simple travel documentary on colourful India, but rather to show the spirituality and complexity of the place. So we have to look behind the images, and start meditating on the energy manifested in these colourful scenes in order to arrive at that peaceful harmony, which is so characteristic of India, and so spectacularly captured in the images in this book. André Wagner
wurde 1980 in Ostdeutschland geboren und widmet sich seit früher Jugend der Bildenden Kunst in verschiedener Form. Seit 2002 ist er als freier Fotograf tätig, dessen Arbeiten unter anderem in den Magzinen GEO, Stern und Rolling Stone und in zahlreichen Einzelausstellungen zu sehen waren. Sein erstes Buch "Authentic Nature" widmet sich vor allem Neuseeland. Doch seine große Liebe als Fotograf und auch als spirituell offener Mensch gilt Indien.
