Design,Selection of Continuous Sampling Plans for Attribute Inspection

Modern techniques of statistical quality control and acceptance sampling have an important part to play in the improvement of quality, enhancement of productivity, creation of consumer confidence and development of industrial economy of the country. Acceptance sampling is the middle of the road approach between no inspection and 100% inspection. A sampling plan prescribes the sample size and the criteria for accepting, rejecting or taking another sample to be used in inspecting the lot. This thesis mainly relates to the study of certain sampling inspection plans classified under variable sampling plans. The main aim of present research work is to develop sampling plans that reduces the cost of inspection for the producer and the consumer gets items of better quality.
