Ruth-Mary Smith is an Australian illustrator known for her gentle, emotionally expressive picture book artwork. Her style has been described as sweet, warm, and whimsical. She enjoys working with traditional materials such as watercolor and pencil, alongside digital illustration.
Ruth-Mary has been published in the United States, received a mentorship award from the Australian Society of Authors, and won awards at the CYA Conference in 2020, 2021, and 2023. In Australia, she has worked with several publishers, including Larrikin House, illustrating My Supercharged ADHD Brain in 2025.
