Valerie Vaughan is an experienced teacher of English in Castletroy College, Limerick and has taught all levels of English from Junior Cert Foundation to Leaving Cert Higher Level. She has taught using the active learning approach at second level in the US implementing and adapting many of the approaches to learning currently being promoted by the new Junior Cycle such as assessment for learning and experiential learning. She created and teaches a module on Mass Media for Transition Year and has taught in Limerick Tutorial College focusing on examination performance and developing examination skills and techniques.
