Fly Cycle

The many intracacies of Drosophila's biology and life cycle are shown on this 40-minute coloured videofilm. Detailed sequences of embryonic development, larval growth, courtship and mating and metamorphosis, among others, are included. Biology and zoology undergraduates are introduced to the life cycle and mutants while more advanced students should learn techniques for close and detailed examination of the organism. An accompanying booklet parallels the visual coverage and includes information on the raising of fruit flies.
