Description

John Tully lives in Dover in the far south of Tasmania but lived and worked in Melbourne for 35 years. He grew up in Tasmanian hydro construction towns after emigrating with his parents as a child from the UK. Before turning to a career as a professor of history he earned his living as a rigger in construction and heavy industry. He is the author of five novels, as well as numerous non-fiction publications including a short history of Cambodia and a social history of the world rubber industry. John is a keen bushwalker.
