Jenifer Tull-Gauger is a 7th degree black belt holding the title of Kyoshi. She is the highest ranking female instructor in the United Ryukyu Kempo Alliance, an international alliance of traditional Okinawan karate dojos. She has trained in karate since 1999 and early in her training, she started assisting in the children's classes. Jenifer co-heads programs for all ages at the private dojo she owns and runs with her husband. In her writing career, Jenifer's pictures and writings have appeared in several publications including "Highlights Magazine for Children." Jenifer enjoys putting her passions for art, writing, and karate together in children's picture books. Her favorite thing about being a karate mentor is watching students grow, improve and progress on their own paths. With the Dojo Kun Character Books, Jenifer makes the most important teachings of karate accessible to all readers, whether they train in martial arts or not. Her mission is to use picture books to help children find their power in their own lives.
