Reviews / Votes
"This book is definitely a commendable scholarly work. The editor and contributors have successfully anchored it within the framework of TESOL critical research. The core issues examined in the book are of utmost significance and usefulness to English language professionals and teacher education at large. The reach of the book is global, but the contributions relevant to the Gulf countries reveal an impressive trend in promising research, sound methodology, and critical thinking."-- Ayatollah Labadi , Professor of Applied Linguistics, University of Carthage, Tunisia"Troudi has deftly woven together a collection of international research projects borne out of critical theory, critical education and critical applied linguistics. The researchers are former doctoral students across some 20 years at the University of Exeter, each representing different nationalities. Together, the studies present a clear model for questioning set definitions, language policies and many taken-for-granted perspectives in TESOL, more specifically in EMI. This volume will be a welcome addition to professional libraries". -- Frank B. Brooks , Professor Emeritus, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, USA
