The Structure of Surfaces III

The contributions to this volume present studies of the crystallographic aspects (e.g. bond angles and distances), morphology (atomic-scale roughness), and structural phase transitions of single-crystal, imperfect, and amorphous surfaces or interfaces. They assess the status of surface structural determination and the relationship between surface or interface structures and relevant physical or chemical properties. The structural results come from theory and experiments ranging from well-established to promising new surface-sensitive techniques. The great diversity and vitality of contemporary surface science is apparent throughout the book.
