A highly illustrated guide to the history of Western fashion from the 17th century up to the present. As with other books in this series, there is a two-page spread for each movement (ism) on which there are two large images plus a description of the main characteristics of clothing styles at that time, names of makers or sub-styles, and places where you can view samples of the costumes. There is also a chronology of the various styles.
