Description
A selection of theological writings by Bishop K H Ting, former head of the China Christian Council and chair of the Chinese Christian Three-Self Patriotic Movement. Born in Shanghai in 1915 and still Principal of Nanjing Union Seminary, Bishop Ting has worked through the last, often difficult, 60 years of change in China. His mission has been to address reconciliation between church and society, Christian and non-Christian, China and the world. Ting's contribution to the re-emergence of church life and the opening of the church to the outside world in the 1980s and 1990s is widely recognised. The overriding theme in his writings -- God's love never ends -- has sustained his philosophy throughout his long life. The essays and sermons included in this volume cover Bishop Ting's nearly 60-year career as a leader of the China Christian Council.
