Endless Worlds. No Time. My name is Martin Drake, and I'm a teacher. At least, I was until I wandered down a dark alley to save an old lady from rabid dogs. Boy, was that a mistake. They were a pack of mutated wolves, and the old lady proved far more dangerous. Now I'm running from world to world with Blackbird, a ruthless, magic-wielding Wayfarer with a familiar face. Everywhere we go, there's a new apocalypse, and that's before she gets to work. Why are we running? A terrible evil is on our tail, and if we don't reach the wayfarer's headquarters in time, I can kiss Earth-and every other world-goodbye. To survive a menagerie of terrors, I'll need a sword. To complete the journey, I'll need magic of my own. And to save all of existence, I'll need the luck of the gods. But here's what scares me: who and what am I willing to sacrifice along the way?
