About the Author Michael C. Thomsett is an active trader in the stock and options market. He has also written dozens of books on a range of investment topics, including six books about the options market (Getting Started in OptionsA Wiley; The LEAPS Strategist, Marketplace Books; Winning with Options, AMACOM Books; and Options Trading for the Conservative Investor, The Options Trading Body of Knowledge, and Put Option Strategies for Smarter Trading, Financial Times/Prentice Hall). He also wrote Getting Started in Swing Trading (Wiley) and Mastering Technical Analysis (Dearborn) as well as numerous published articles in investing trade journals and magazines. Thomsett writes a quarterly column for investors in the NAIC magazine, Better Investing. His Investment and Securities Dictionary (hardcover McFarland, trade paperback entitled Webster's New World Investment and Securities Dictionary, Prentice Hall Press) was named by Choice Magazine as an Outstanding Academic Book for 1989.
