Kutub Thakur is an accomplished cybersecurity expert, educator, and researcher with extensive experience across both public and private sectors, including organizations such as the United Nations, major financial institutions, utilities, and academic institutions. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in cybersecurity, an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Control Systems Engineering, and undergraduate degrees in Computer Systems Technology. Dr. Thakur has published multiple textbooks in the fields of cybersecurity and emerging technologies, many of which are adopted by universities around the world. In addition, he has published numerous research papers in reputable journals and conferences and regularly serves as a reviewer for leading academic publications. His research interests include network security, IoT security, privacy, machine learning, and user behavior. He has chaired multiple national and international conferences and workshops and continues to mentor graduate and doctoral students in the field of cybersecurity, guiding their research in theses, proposals, and dissertations. Dr. Thakur actively collaborates with government agencies and private universities on cybersecurity research, education, and workforce development initiatives.
Al-Sakib Khan Pathan is a Professor at Computer Science and Engineering department, United International University (UIU), Bangladesh. He is also serving as a PhD Co-supervisor (external) at Computer Sciences Department, University Ferhat Abbas Setif 1, Algeria. He received PhD degree in Computer Engineering in 2009 from Kyung Hee University, South Korea and B.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh in 2003. He was a Researcher at Networking Lab, Kyung Hee University, South Korea during September 2005 to August 2009 where he completed his MS leading to PhD. Currently, he is the Editor-in-Chief of two T&F journals: International Journal of Computers and Applications; and Journal of Cyber Security Technology. His research interests include wireless sensor networks, network security, cloud computing, and e-services technologies. Currently, he is also working on some multidisciplinary issues. He is a recipient of several awards/best paper awards and has several notable publications in these areas. So far, he has delivered more than 40 Keynotes and Invited speeches at various international conferences and events.
