Principles and Practice of Public Health Surveillance

Public health surveillance is a systematic science which provides the knowledge required for monitoring a population's health and is therefore the corner stone of effective public health practice. Here, an organized approach to planning, developing and implementing public health surveillance systems is presented providing public health professionals and epidemiology students with the theoretical and practical tools necessary to create and implement effective surveillance programs.
