Richard A. Taylor is Senior Research Professor of Old Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. He holds a PhD in Semitic and Egyptian languages and literatures from the Catholic University of America. He has published various essays, dictionary articles, and books, including The Peshitta of Daniel (Brill, 1994), Interpreting Apocalyptic Literature: An Exegetical Handbook (Kregel Academic, 2016), and an annotated English translation of the book of Psalms for The Syriac Peshitta Bible with English Translation (Gorgias, 2020). He co-edited Reflections on Lexicography (Gorgias, 2014) and has served as a translator and editor for the NET Bible and the Antioch Bible. He maintains active membership in a number of academic societies.
