Will and Sheldon, neighbors from different cultures, form a friendship that, fifty years later, deepens as they share hidden truths. The bond between Danny and Clare is complicated when she begins a relationship with his best friend. Gary learns through his tentative friendship with Blue that the local troublemaker is more honorable than he seems. The main characters in these short novels came of age in the sixties on Cloverlawn, in a working-class neighborhood outside Detroit. Joe Taylor grew up on the same block outside of Detroit where these short novels take place. He has taught writing classes, tutored, and written book reviews and short stories. His first novel, The Neapolitan Café, was originally published in 2017. He lives with his wife in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
