Positional Chess

This is an introductory guide to the essential elements of positional chess, designed for improving the chess playing of all ages. It provides information about strong and weak pawns, the relative values of knights and bishops in different types of positions, the importance of open files and diagonals and advice on other positional ideas. Also included are many entertaining and instructive games. The author is an International Master and winner of the European Junior Championship in 1977.
