Description
David Mitchell's Cloud Atlas is a mind-blowing work of 21st century contemporary British Literature. This book not only deals with the consumerist ideas that are embedded in specific narratives but also contemplates to expose semiotic signs in general and those related to the criticism of consumerism. It also reveals the Postmodern characteristics of the novel. In brief, the book provides a comprehensive semiotic analysis of Cloud Atlas, a deeply philosophical, multi-layered novel which is equally rich in symbols.
