Chaos threatens to engulf two worlds. Emily’s uprising has drawn the support of many Champions, forcing the British Empire and the United States to take extreme measures to prevent a rebellion. But in acting to maintain ‘civilization’, are the governments of Earth proving their adversary correct? As Alex, Stephanie and Strong cope with the aftermath of 1943, they must also help ensure that Emily’s movement finds no purchase. Together with George, Constance, Elspeth, and their colleagues in Jimmystown they must hunt down and capture rogue Champions, while also seeking the truth behind the rebellion. Because even as Emily seeks revenge for slights against Champions everywhere, another agenda might be at work –– one that only the renegade’s son, Robert Waller, may be able to shed light upon.
