Sheena Sutherland is a proud "Bathgate Bairn," born and bred in the 50's in a wee town called Bathgate, in West Lothian, Scotland at a time when death was taboo, not spoken about openly, mirrors were covered, and curtains closed as a mark of respect.
Being married briefly in the 80's to an undertaker sparked an interest around death and the humour you had to have to survive within this unusual field of employment.
Her interest was sparked again when a close friend fought cancer for 10 years and trips to graveyards were a place to sit and contemplate life, but instead she found many interesting labourers were only too happy to share their funny stories.
