Georges Bataille

Georges Bataille was a philosopher, writer, librarian, pornographer and a founder of the influential journals Critique and Acephale. He has had an enormous impact on contemporary thought, influencing such writers as Barthes, Baudrillard, Derrida, Foucault and Sontag.
