Progress in Clinical Parasitology

Once viewed as medical curiosities, parasitic diseases have been given considerably more attention since the outbreak of AIDS, and up-to-date information on parasitic diseases is more in demand from medical professionals now than ever before. In this volume, the topics covered are cryptosporidiosis and toxoplasmosis, two previously rare but now common parasitic diseases in Japan; the problems involved in developing a malarial vaccine; a study exemplifying the role of T-lymphocytes in parasitic infections; and a review of the inter-relationship between the schistosomes and their molluscan hosts.
