Prof. Pakhrur Razi, Ph.D., was born in Kerinci, Indonesia, in 1979. He received the B.S. degree in physics science from the Universitas Negeri Padang and the M.S. degree in physics science from the Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia, in 2005 and He finished the Ph.D. degree in 2019 at the Center for Environmental Remote Sensing, Department of Information Processing and Computer Sciences, Graduate School Advanced Integration Science, Chiba University, Japan, with a focus on synthetic aperture radar (SAR) processing for disaster monitoring. Since 2006, he has been with the Physics Department, Universitas Negeri Padang, as a Lecturer, where he became an Associate Professor with the Physics Department eight years later and full professor in Disaster Physics in 2023. His research interests are SAR and optical Remote sensing for disaster Monitoring, Early warning system for disaster, image processing, UAV, GPS-GNSS, electronic instrumentation, and ICT.
