Russ Stott (Washington, D.C.) got involved with competitive shooting in the early 1980s and after attending sniper school while on active duty with the United States Army, he returned to his battalion as chief marksmanship instructor. Stott coached and captained a unit marksmanship team that won three division, three XXVIIIth Airborne Corps, and two U.S. Army championships. After leaving the Army, Stott became a member of the National Rifle Association's (NRA) competitive shooting division and was named coordinator of the National Action Pistol Championship, as well as match director of several high-level matches, including the European Action Pistol Championship. Stott now represents some of the world's leading action shooters and remains actively involved in the sport today.
