The Last Circle of Dominion

Harmony is a skeptic, an author, and-as of three weeks ago-a very overwhelmed guardian. After her sister's brutal murder, twenty-three-year-old Harmony inherits a house in the redwoods and two traumatized nieces. She's prepared for the challenges of teenage angst and grief; she is not prepared for the 400-foot stone ring in her backyard or the "homeless" woman who scales redwoods like an Olympic athlete and plays every instrument known to man.
As the mysterious Rhapsody integrates into their lives, Harmony's commitment to logic is tested by feats of superhuman strength, cured terminal illnesses, and a literal miracle or two. But when the girls' murderous father returns and the military descends on the redwoods, Harmony's skepticism becomes a liability. To save her family and-apparently-the planet, Harmony must confront a suppressed childhood of medical experimentation and accept a reality where she isn't just a survivor, but the seed of a literal world tree.
