Whales

This is an introduction to all the different types of whales. It has a question-and-answer format, and each question is answered with a response based on scientific fact and a colour photograph. The work discusses how whales live in water even though they need to breathe air, and why they don't drown, how and what they eat, how they sense things, communicate, have babies and look after their young. It examines why they are endangered and how they defend themselves, why they get stranded and what we can do to help them.
